2006 Margerum "ÜBER" Syrah, Santa Barbara County

We set out to make the finest Syrah we could produce from the spectacular vineyard sources we source from.  The backbone of ÜBER is a co-fermentation of ALL seven Syrah vineyards picked and fermented over 45 days.  We then blend in selected barrels of the single vineyard Syrah to make a wine that is seamless, intense and multifaceted.   The resulting wine is rich, supple, and long with soft, but present, tannins.  This is the second �BER and it is the best one yet.  Drink now without guilt but for best results we recommend aging the wine three to five years.
